Open Spaces

Many of our open spaces are maintained in association with Cherwell District Council and are available to the public for informal use for physical activity. Many bins are provided to help keep our areas tidy, please use the bins or take your rubbish home with you.

To report any issues please use the email - FixMyPark@Bicester.gov.uk

  1. Follow the rules and regulations: Please take notice of any posted signs and adhere to regulations. These rules are often designed to protect the environment and ensure the safety of visitors.
  2. Leave no trace: When visiting our open spaces, strive to leave them exactly as you found them or even better. Carry out all rubbish to minimize disturbance to wildlife and vegetation, and avoid damaging natural features.
  3. Stay on designated paths: Stick to designated trails and paths to minimize damage to natural wildlife, habitat disruption, and potential injuries.
  4. Respect wildlife: Observe wildlife from a distance and avoid disturbing their natural behaviours.
  5. Support conservation efforts: Get involved in the local conservation initiatives or volunteer with some of Bicester's fantastic community groups that work to protect open spaces. Supporting efforts to preserve and maintain these areas helps ensure they remain accessible for future generations to enjoy.

Whilst we understand that many dog owners value the opportunity to use open spaces to exercise their pets, we ask that you consider the nature of the space and others using it by keeping your dog on a lead when the area is busy. We ask that you always pick up after your dog.

Many dog bins are provided around the open spaces, and properly bagged dog waste can be disposed of in general litter bins also.

Damage to bins, benches, play area equipment is to be reported to Bicester Town Council as soon as possible, please email - FixMyPark@Bicester.gov.uk
