Grant Aid
The Grant Aid application for 2026/27 is closed. For any queries please contact finance@bicester.gov.uk.
Charities and community organisations can apply for a financial boost from Bicester Town Council Grant Aid Scheme. Each year the Town Council reserves a sum of money for use on grants to such voluntary organisations and community groups that provide a service that benefits the residents of Bicester.
Applications will only be considered from constituted voluntary organisations, registered charities or established community groups who have a bank account in the name of the group and can demonstrate that they have a set of rules which govern their operation, including what happens to funds if they cease to operate.
Organisations will need to demonstrate that they are applying for the funds to support a specific project and not supporting day to day running costs.
Applications up to a maximum of £1,000 will be considered, but awards will commonly not exceed £500.
View the previous grants awarded under Transparency page.
Good Citizen Award
The annual Good Citizen Awards, run by the Town Council, are open for anyone to nominate. Winners will be presented with a Good Citizen badge and certificate by the Mayor at the annual mayor-making ceremony.
Residents can be nominated for a wide range of reasons, including outstanding achievement in their field such as sports or culture, contribution to commercial life, improving the environment of Bicester, going that extra mile, improving other people’s lives, gaining national or international recognition for Bicester, or an act of bravery.
The Good Citizen Award scheme was launched in 2001 as a way of recognising people who had made a positive impact on their community and thanking them for their hard work.
