Work will start next month to resurface all the footpaths in Garth Park.
The £80,000 project, funded by Bicester Town Council, will mean the entire park will be accessible to all users, including those with walking difficulties, wheelchair users and buggies.
Currently the are holes and bumps in the paths which can make navigating the park difficult for some users.
The work is expected to take several months and will be carried out in phases to avoid major disruption for users.
Town Clerk Phil Evans said: “This is an important project that will improve the park for everyone. “Some areas of the park are currently off-limits to some of our users, but we are very keen to ensure everyone visiting Garth Park can enjoy all of the space.
“All the work will be carried out sympathetically to the conservation area and existing greenery.
“The work will cause minor disruption to people, and we will endeavour to put out signs out warning users in advance.”
