Our aim is to support parents of children with Autism/ADHD, exchange knowledge and ideas whilst raising awareness and increase understanding within the community.

We are a local charity (Charity number 1205059) dedicated to supporting parents and carers of autistic children, those with ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions and their families. Our aim is to support each other,  by providing meeting opportunities and sharing experiences and learnings.

No diagnosis is needed to join.

We host regular informal events such as:

  • Morning Coffee and Chats
  • Pub Nights
  • Family Sessions
  • Night Off Sessions for parent/carers
  • Sibling Sessions – event for all ages
  • Skills/Training sessions

Bicester Autism has two Facebook accounts. Our first is an open page (Bicester Autism/ADHD) that provides information to non-members and the general community about events in our area and articles of interest. Our second group (Bicester Autism/ADHD Chat) is a closed chat group for members only. It’s a welcoming, non-judgemental and supportive space to ensure you never feel alone. There are no silly questions and amongst our members we have a wealth of knowledge and experience to help guide you

To be kept up to date on all our events, how to book and be part of our closed Facebook group, please fill in our joining form on our become a member page. Membership is free.

Forget Me Not Bicester is a local community charity and social enterprise dedicated to reducing loneliness and social isolation among older people in and around Bicester. Founded in 2017, the organisation provides friendship, companionship, and meaningful activities for elderly residents, including those living with dementia or other age-related conditions.

Purpose and Mission

The core mission of Forget Me Not Bicester is to ensure that older people remain connected, valued, and supported within their community. Many elderly individuals experience isolation due to bereavement, reduced mobility, illness, or family living far away. The charity aims to address this by creating a welcoming environment where people can build friendships, enjoy stimulating activities, and regain a sense of belonging.

Their work also benefits carers by offering them valuable respite time, knowing that their loved ones are in a safe and engaging setting.

What the Charity Does

Lunch and Friendship Clubs

Forget Me Not Bicester runs regular lunch clubs where members can enjoy a nutritious meal together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. These sessions are much more than just meals—they are opportunities for conversation, laughter, and companionship.

Social Activities

The charity organises a wide range of activities designed to promote mental stimulation and enjoyment, such as:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Music and singing
  • Quiz sessions
  • Gentle exercise
  • Guest speakers
  • Seasonal celebrations
  • Day trips and outings

These activities help maintain cognitive function, boost mood, and encourage social interaction.
