Bicester Town Council has undertaken a review of the 60 play areas which it is responsible for across the town. As a result, a small number of play areas have been identified for possible closure or re-purposing. These are:
11. Woodruff Close (small sized play area)
13. Saffron Close (small sized play area)
16. Mullien Road (small sized play area)
24. Foxglove Close (small sized play area)
28. Oxlip Leys (small sized play area)
30. Restharrow Mead 1 (medium sized play area)

35. Coltfoot Leys (small sized play area)
46. Grebe Road (small sized play area)
49. Sanderling Court (small sized play area)
52. Banbury Road (medium sized play area)
We wish to engage with local residents before making a final decision to ensure that a wide cross-section of views are obtained to help us to decide on the outcome of the play areas identified.
The possible alternative uses include:
- Use as a community garden
- Use as a community growing space (for vegetables/fruit)
- Use as an informal space for children/teenagers
- Installation of a graffiti wall
- Use as an exercise area (These options may need to be tailored to size/suitability)
- Retain existing play area to remain open
- Any alternative suggestion you may have
