Commonwealth Day replaced the former Empire Day and is celebrated across Commonwealth countries on the second Monday in March. In the UK, there is a service at Westminster Abbey which is attended by the Queen (as head of the Commonwealth) and other dignitaries. The Queen also delivers an address to the Commonwealth which is broadcast globally.
In London the flags of all the 54 Commonwealth nations including Canada, Australia, Gibraltar, Belize, The Bahamas, are flown in Horse Guards.
