As part of our East West Rail project, we’ll be closing London Road at the level crossing from 10pm Saturday 28th August until 04.15am Tuesday 31st August 2021.
We’ll maintain access for pedestrians and mobility vehicles and a traffic marshall will be in place to assist people getting across.
The road will be closed to vehicles and a signed diversion route will be in place.
We will be carrying out work to the signalling system which will improve the times that the barriers are down when trains pass through.
New pedestrian signals will be installed to help make it easier for people using the crossing to see when they can cross safely.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by our work and the road closure.
