This year the Christmas lights switch-on event to launch the lights was cancelled to avoid mass gatherings and increase infection rates.
To continue the festive feeling, a reminder that each day from December 1 to December 25 Bicester Town council will stage a virtual advent calendar to help keep residents safe, promote local groups and projects, and support local businesses.
Each day residents will get a chance to find out about charities, clubs, groups and businesses that operate in and around Bicester via the council’s YouTube, website and Facebook page, to reveal a festive message, video or an incentive.
