A notice from Highways England.
We will be carrying out essential resurfacing work at A43 Padbury / Baynards Green and Cherwell Roundabouts (south of Brackley). The works will commence on the 1st March and are scheduled for completion on the 19th March 2021.
Our comprehensive scheme of work will include resurfacing on the gyratorys alongside some resurfacing and specialist anti skid treatments on the approaches and departures of Baynard Green and Padbury Brook Roundabouts. We will also renew road markings on Cherwell Roundabout. Once completed, all road users will benefit from improved road safety and a smoother driving experience.
To keep our programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise disruption to the local community, we will work Monday – Friday between 8pm and 6am. Beginning on the northbound carriageway for 7 days before moving to the southbound for the remaining 8 days.
Please note that HS2 will also be working in this area during March and we will co-ordinate works to minimise disruption.
Please note that all our planned works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, such as clashes with other Local Council emergency work on the diversion routes.
To maintain a safe environment for our workforce and motorists, we will need to use a mixture of lane and full carriageway closures while we work. During all road closures we will put in place fully signed diversion routes which have been agreed with the Local Authority. Please see attached. All carriageways will be open, as usual, outside our working hours.
Unrestricted access to local businesses will be maintained as far as reasonably practicable.
