About Your Councillor

Your local councillor is elected by the residents to represent them on the Town Council. They are representatives of the major political parties, or are independent. They are not full time paid officials, and are only given a very small annual allowance. Their position is one of influence rather than power at Town Council level. However, they have very important role in representing the views of the local residents about just about everything that goes on in our town. They are your councillors and would love to hear from you with views or concerns about the Town. See our councillors.

Bicester Town Council is made up of 15 councillors in 5 wards. The Council has 4 Standing Committees and they are:

  • Policy Committee
  • Planning Committee
  • Environment Committee
  • Finance Committee

The full Town Council meets every 8 weeks or so. Please see the calendar for the dates of the meetings. All full Council and Parent Committee meetings are open to the public.

For more information on the democratic workings of the council, please call the Chief Officer on 01869 252915,
